Upload an existing Palworld world

Move a co-op Palworld world onto your server. Palworld names worlds with a long hex ID, so read this through before you start.

This one is fiddlier than most because Palworld names save folders with a long hex ID. Read it all before you start.

  1. Stop the server from the Console tab in the panel.
  2. On your PC, open %localappdata%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames. Inside is a numbered folder, and inside that, one folder per world with a long hex name.
  3. Work out which is the right world by its modified date, then zip that hex folder.
  4. In Files, go to Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/. There'll already be a hex folder there from the server making its own world.
  5. Write down that folder's name; you need it in a moment. Rename it rather than deleting it, so you can undo this if the upload goes wrong.
  6. Upload your zip and unarchive it, then rename your folder to exactly the name the server had made. This is the step people miss.
  7. Start the server and check the console. If you spawn into a fresh world, the folder name didn't match.
