Invite only · Beta
Your own virtual machine, with root, in a private network. Not a game server: a whole machine for the things a game panel can't run.
Cloud is new, and it will change. Limits and tiers can move, features can break, and a VM can be stopped or lost while we work on it. Don't put anything on it that you can't afford to lose, and don't rely on it for anything that has to stay up.
It runs on the same hobby project as our game servers: shared hardware on a home connection in the UK, with no uptime promise. Like everything else here, there is nothing to pay.
Choose a system and a size within your tier, and it's yours to set up. It isn't a container or a game panel: you install what you need and keep it patched.
Each project has its own network, kept apart from everyone else's. VMs in a project talk to each other, and you can peer two of your projects when you want them to.
Set the rules for each VM on the panel, with no shell needed. Our own system rules sit alongside them and can't be turned off.
Reach the serial console or the screen from the panel, so a broken network or SSH setup doesn't lock you out.
Take a backup whenever you like and restore it over the VM from the panel. These are a convenience, not a promise: keep your own copy of anything that matters.
Invite someone with a panel account to a project, and choose what they're allowed to do there.
Systems on offer right now: Debian 12 (Bookworm), Debian 13 (Trixie), Rocky Linux 9, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy), Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble).
A tier is the total you get across all your projects. We choose yours when we accept your request. Figures can change during the beta, and the panel always has the current ones.
Read these before you ask. We won't make exceptions to them, so if one rules out what you want to do, Cloud isn't the right fit.
VMs can't send email (ports 25, 465, 587 are blocked outbound). That will never change, so please don't ask. A single spammer could get a home connection blacklisted for everyone on it. If your software needs to send mail, point it at an outside email API instead.
The hardware and the connection are shared. Nothing is dedicated to you, performance isn't guaranteed, and we may limit a VM that's affecting other people.
A VM has no public address of its own. Your tier gives you a number of ports from a range we set, so you can't choose a port like 80 or 443.
For websites and anything else on the web, run a Cloudflare Tunnel on your VM. It connects outward, so it needs no open ports and gives you proper HTTPS on your own domain.
We may scan what's on your VM, its disks and its backups, and watch its traffic, to catch malware and abuse. Don't treat a VM as private.
We may stop, suspend or delete a VM whenever we need to, with or without warning, including for maintenance and to protect the network.
You have root, so patching and security are yours. If your VM is broken into and starts causing trouble, we'll stop it, and it's on you to fix.
Open a ticket on the panel if your VM can't be reached because of a problem on our side. We can't help with configuring it, installing software or fixing what runs on it.
No mining, spam, phishing or malware, no attacks or scanning of other people's systems, no public proxies, VPN services or Tor exit nodes, and no reselling your access.
The full rules are in section 14 of the terms.
Cloud is invite only, and being invited isn't automatic. Getting a free game server doesn't come with it.
We have the right to refuse any request, and we don't have to give a reason. We can also withdraw access later.
