Upload an existing StarRupture save

Carry on a local StarRupture save on your server. Where the files are, what they must be called, and the folder they go in.

Starting fresh

You don't need to do anything. Once the server is running and a player has been connected for at least 15 minutes, it creates all the folders and save files itself.

Bringing your own save

  1. Find your save files on your PC, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[a number]\1631270\remote\Saved\SaveGames.
  2. Stop the server from the Console tab in the panel.
  3. In Files, go to StarRupture/Saved/SaveGames.
  4. Create a folder called StarRuptureServer. If you changed the session name on the Startup tab, use that name instead.
  5. Upload your .met and .sav files into it.
  6. They must be called AutoSave0.met and AutoSave0.sav. Rename them if they aren't.
  7. Start the server.
