A slice is your own share of CPU, RAM and disk. Instead of one server at the size we set for its game, you split it across several servers yourself. Each server is still capped close to its game's standard size, so a slice is for running more servers, not one bigger one. How slices work
You have a slice or a single server, not both. If you already have servers, move them into a slice instead.
Set it up
- In the panel, open Free Servers.
- On the Your Slice card, click Set up my slice. It shows how much the slice has.
Create a server from it
- Choose Your Slice when you create a server, and pick the game.
- In the Resources step, set the server's CPU, RAM and disk. The sliders stop at what's left in your slice and at that game's limit.
- Create it. What's left is there for the next server.
The slice monitor above your server list shows what each server is using against its share, and a graph of the whole slice.
