Set a password and hide your Factorio server

Server settings live in server-settings.json. It's JSON, so a stray comma will stop the server starting. If it won't start after an edit, check that first.

1. In Files, open server-settings.json.
2. Set "game_password" to keep it private, and "name" and "description" for how it shows in the server browser.
3. To keep it off the public list entirely, set "public" under "visibility" to false and give people your address and port directly.
4. "autosave_interval" is in minutes. The default suits most bases. Lower it if your factory is huge and you'd rather lose less in a crash.
5. Save and restart.
