| In this tutorial you will learn how to setup your CSS's HTTP redirect to use AlienX Servers Client Redirect Service. Follow the steps one by one, take your time to read these steps as it can get confusing.
Step One - Obtaining a FTP Client You will require a FTP Client, in this tutorial i will be using FileZilla - go ahead and download and install it.
Step Two - Logging into the FTP Server Load up FileZilla and enter the following information into the Host, Username and Port fields The information you require here would have been emailed to you when you bought your CSS server
After having entered the information, press the Quick Connect button to connect to the fast download server
Step Three - Creating your personal redirect Now create your own folder by Right Clicking in the Remote Site panel, and selecting Create Directory Create yourself a directory Once you have done this, you will need to open your Counterstrike Source's server.cfg file from tcadmin and insert this line at the bottom of the file:
Step Four - Creating the correct directory structure Now you can see that your folder has been created, double click it to enter it
We are going to upload a map called glass_war, which we will pretend it is in your servers map rotation, obviously just learn here how i upload the map , and repeat the upcomming steps to upload your custom maps This is where it gets confusing, and yet its the most crucial part of this tutorial and the HTTP redirect... the redirect MUST follow the same directory structure - in the Remote Site pane (Red box in step three), keep creating the directorys that you require... in this example im uploading a map, so the first directory i will create will be called "cstrike" as you can see below:
Then i will create a folder called "maps" inside the "cstrike" directory like so:
Now i upload my map to this folder
Keep repeating the steps of creating the folder structure and uploading the required files, and your done! if you require support, please create a ticket |
